I have an affinity for Vintage Erotic Postcards, I have viewed many and have a small collection myself. I would love to obtain some more if anyone in Cyberspace is looking to offload/sell some of their collection.
I can't answer the reason why I like these?? I try to revert back to the time before TV, when Erotica was hidden. I imagine a distinguished Gentleman holding the card that I now hold in my hand, what was he thinking? Was he thinking about Basketball? I think not.
I would imagine he inserted himself into the photographic situation taking his position and including himself in the fantasy surrounding him, of course he would have locked the study door to avoid interruption as he gazed, transfixed, caught in his thoughts. He would have looked upon the ladies, scanning the photo and creating the 3D image in his mind. (Don't scroll down, it's getting hot)
Would he picture himself as the man in the photo, although the guy in the postcard above seems more interested in the lighting than the lady with him (Maybe that's why he's missing the target?) We all know men can't concentrate on two things at once. Excuse me, I digress, I wonder did the Gentleman, sitting in his large office chair take a chance and re-enact, in some part, what he was viewing?
How involved did he get? Maybe his breeches where a little tight and he needed to loosen them? Ok, that's a feeble excuse but it could have been genuine!
Maybe he was egotistical and obsessed with the size of his member, and imagined it so............
Alas! If only.........Or maybe he just used them for quick sexual satisfaction where he could indulge his tastes without fear or recrimination. What ever he did with them, I'm just glad they survived to this day, relatively clean to pass on to collectors like myself.

ReplyDeleteI believe the viewer of the photo's has a more organic view of the photo as he/she has their own particular connection via fantasy or attraction to the models. I know it's naive, but I like the honest internal reaction and stimulating the process that helps create the enjoyment of the scene within the individuals own mind.
Where as the producers of the photo have a more commercial view in my opinion. Considering that the majority of models were prostitutes or Mental Health patients and the viewer was unaware of this, I feel it keeps the illusion of the fantasy alive for the viewer.

ReplyDeleteI think this is absolutely fantastic..it is so good to know that there is another person out there...(that I have finally found) who loves the vintage postcards and pictures etc...the fella in the stripy shirt..well now...they both are needing direction and seem to be getting it from someone..and I guess she is a tad too small for my liking and they are not exactly hitting the spot...although he seems to be well hung and maybe could do better with someone who is more of a fuller figure including bust stimulation...then again..to each his own..you ask which photo do we like best...well..I love the third one now...(yep..you are scrolling back up to check)that is class..and the 'Tour Eiffel'..well now..just goes to show...we can about use anything...me, I would go for a car gear stick...ha haa...well done once again sire!!

DeleteI have not spoken to you in a while now..and I was thinking..have you anything..vintage 1910-or earlier..up to the 50's..in the woods...the soft earth... foliage all round..the damp needles from the trees...a beautiful big busted woman..(no not me!! lol)and a man..with a wonderfully large lingam...exploring each other..he has and is caressing her yoni..and her..holding his lingam..I tried finding it on google...but..maybe I am looking in the wrong place..lol...thank you my friend...You really have made my heart soar !! xx
